This is a cool invention however, it seems to me that they forgot one important thing. If they are aiming this at city dwellers and folks with no garden space - how do they think they are going to fit this in their tiny little kitchens?

But, nonetheless, I think that this would make a great cat bed - plants and all.

...ON MOTHERHOOD

My S.O. has a 5 year old daughter.

I am one of those women that never inherited the "I Must Pro-Create" gene. To be honest, I didn't even inherit the "ooh - he/she is so cute!" gene. I am generally the one chick in the room that doesn't really want to hold your baby. It's a bummer I'm an only child. Sorry.

I have a friend - Marla - who insists that children should only be acknowledged when they are able to form complete sentences (and hopefully old enough to drink). She does not have the gene either.

So, last week I found myself playing "mom" to this little girl.

Funny thing about playing Mom - it's not a game that gets to end when you have a headache, want to read the paper, or do your nails. But, I have to admit - I stepped up to the plate. I played dolls. (I played the "mommy" doll - go figure...) I painted clay figurines, I went to the water park, I braided hair, I rewarded and reprimanded, I carried a tote bag with juice boxes and healthy snacks. I didn't swear....for a WHOLE week.

Who the hell am I anyway!!!!

Did I mention just how VERY cute and sweet she is? Did I mention that she spoke in a little tiny, girlie voice? Did I say cute? AND, she came with her own Barbies.

Ahhhh... this thing called "motherhood", I can't say I'd want to do it full time but maybe every now and then.
