STILETTO HELL

To say I buy a lot of shoes is a bit of an understatement. We've since converted our second bedroom to a shoe (and handbag - but I won't get into that now) closet. When I see a cool pair of shoes - well - I just have to have them. Regardless of the fact that they don't match a damn thing in my closet. (Which then accounts for all the clothing I have to buy to match my new shoes. It really is a hellish whirlpool of need...)

Nonetheless, I REALLY love shoes. I love high heels (oh the pain!), strange patterns (and I'll wear these with what?), funky colors (now to find the right shirt...), unusual styles (hee haw!) and most importantly - BOOTS (knee-high, ankle-high, square toe, round toe)! I have paid hundreds of dollars for an awesome pair of shoes.

But...

Can someone PLEASE explain to me why these fashion designers and manufacturers that I have pledged so much of my income to (think GNP or a small third world county) will not spend another stinkin' $0.32 on some cushion beneath the ball of your foot??

Yea - I know I can buy some insoles to put in, but then they get all bunched up or they just look like crap after a few wearings. What I WANT is for the stupid manufacturers to put the pads in UNDER the insoles. If they need to charge another few bucks to do it, than so be it. But at least my little feetsies will be happy.

Now to find something to wear with my new brown, suede, knee-high boots...
